The controls are good, and a variety of items let you adjust the damage, attack speed, opponent drops, and other aspects. Platforming and bosses are somewhat difficult (think Blasphemous hard, but not Hollow Knight hard). A few days after the game’s debut, the developer improved the rapid travel feature, which makes the game even more fun. If you enjoy dark, challenging, but not harsh games of such kind, this one is highly recommended. Kingdom Shell is impressive for a debut solo indie title, but the game has some major balance/design issues that bring the experience down. I still had an okay time with it, but I’d really like to see an update version.
