Fundamentally, the gameplay hasn’t changed much, although the brawler action does feel a bit smoother in this one. The biggest single change is that your party now fights all at once – all three of your companions are (almost) always fighting alongside you, and you can now freely swap between the four party members, who each have their own specialties. If someone’s tired of fighting as Yumo, this gives them some new options. You’re still using Ximending as your home base, but this time you can also explore a few other areas of the city as well. The overall ‘open world’ map is roughly 2x the size of the original. Plus, there are MANY new dungeon types and areas to explore.
