Heartless & Dreadful is a character action game, mostly made by one person. It features complex combat systems, light platforming elements, a short story campaign with multiple brutal difficulty options that allow for quite a bit of replayability, and additional unlockable modes and content. Not much to say other than it feels a bit more float-y than other hack n slashes I’ve played but that my be just me (this is also not bad, just different). If you like DMC you will probably like this. One thing of major note is the first boss, it was hard, this is one of those games where the first boss really makes you learn the game. FINISH REPORT

I like that. After beating the first boss, I felt a lot more confident on my understanding of the tools at my disposal. I’m really looking forward to seeing what other moves and weapons I will unlock, and unless I see a drop in the quality of the fights as the game goes on I can say that this is easily the selling point for the game, at least in my opinion. Seems very interesting so far. When I first got started playing I was a little surprised to see that there actually was a story in focus and I’m very much for it.
