I love most of Hosted’s stuff, but this may genuinely be the best thing they have ever put out. The story is dark and utterly unflinching with its depictions of violence, depravity and especially war, but it also has this underlying sense of hope. The characters are masterfully done, and I found myself caring about them more than I usually do: smiling like a moron when they had their big moments and feeling a weight form in my gut when they were endangered.
