Mountaincore is a game of designing and building a burgeoning colony in a deeply-simulated fantasy world. TL:DR I would recommend this game. There is more than enough to get an enjoyable game experience with replayability and you can easily get your money’s worth as the game stands now, with plenty of interesting ideas for the game to be added in the future. Just be aware when purchasing, as with all EA games, that you will likely come across bugs at times and the need for tweaks and optimisations. This is a game I keep coming back to, it is far from complete and yet I have easily spent 100s of hours playing (so far). SONS OF VALHALLA

Mountaincore Free Steam Pre-Installed:

It is a genre I enjoy from games such as Space haven to Dwarf fortress (steam) and so when this game caught my eye under its original iteration in 2021 it was an easy purchase for me (if you want to know more about the games journey and its renaming and relaunch I recommend reading Mountaincore Dev Update 1 (April 2023)). It was not as fleshed out as some of the other games in the genre at the time, but it had a gentler learning curve and I found there was just something special about this particular game that has me returning to it time and again. It is hard to pick out what exactly that special thing is for the game but perhaps it is an amalgamation.
