It is the second game to be released on the PC and PlayStation 2, and unlike Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 4: The Room, it was never ported to the original Xbox. The game was developed by Team Silent and published by Konami, and it launched in North America on August 6, 2003. The plot begins Seventeen years after the events of the first game, and the baby whom the Incubator gave to Harry Mason at the end of the first game, Heather Mason, is now a teenage girl. The main character, a young girl named Heather, is a child saved by Harry Mason from the hands of the occult organization Order. 17 years after the destruction of their former “God”, the cultists reappear in Heather’s life, claiming her rights. Now the girl will be immersed in her own nightmares, bloody battles with monsters and cruel cultists, as well as a return to the accursed city.
