Second-to-second gameplay is exciting, though the enemy hitboxes seem to be rather forgiving to the player, allowing them to sneak by without much concern. Some weapons can be optionally aimed with mouse controls, which isn’t common in this genre – I would qualify this as a pro. The highlight of the game would probably be the shrine system, which occasionally gives you a buff and an opportunity to earn a buff for staying in a location and killing a scaling number of enemies in a set amount of time. It’s exciting when these opportunities pop up, but the excitement is perhaps dulled somewhat in that I have never failed one in the first hour/first two stages I’ve played.
