Star Drift Evolution is a minimalistic racing game with fun and challenging driving physics, where powersliding through corners is the fastest way to drive. It’s all about skill: Picking the right car for the right track and executing each corner perfectly. Can you do it? This is an absolute gem. It’s got a nice clean low poly look, plays brilliantly and has a bucket load of content. It’s great fun whether you’re racing against the AI, hot-lapping (with leaderboards) or doing multiplayer. It easily stands alongside art of rally, and if like me you’re more partial to circuit racing then you’ll probably prefer it. The graphics are clean and stylish, sharing a similar low poly look to art of rally. ARKO

There’s a number of camera options, from top down, top down chase (like art of rally) and with the custom view options you can vary this quite a bit and even go for a more typical closer chase cam. The audio is decent, it gives audio cues as expected, the cars all sound different and it’s got a lovely retro soundtrack to boot. Content wise, you get a lot for your money. At the moment there are around 60 tracks and 30 cars, the quality of both is top notch. The tracks are well designed, span multiple locations and a variety of different surfaces. Most are circuits, with varying lengths and there’s around 10 rally stages as well.
