When you play the single-player game, you are in charge of the Founders, a group made up of former US soldiers. Your job is to lead your army against Legion’s plan to kill all humans. You can play as the Founders, the Movement, or the Legion in both single-player and team games. On a number of big strategic maps, you’ll be in charge of an army that moves from mission to mission. You have to choose where to put your units, how to fight, and what skills they should have so that you not only stay alive but also become the leader of the resistance against the machines. Replaying and getting the best possible results will help you improve your combat skills.

Battle in realistic, complicated fights where your strategy choices are key to staying alive and winning in the end. In your fights against the enemy, use a range of combat gear, trucks, and types of ammunition. To keep the fight going, find and train new units, give them new skills, and get them new guns and gear. Fight in heated fights. Your choices and actions on the battlefield will have big effects on the rest of the game. Other factions and characters will either side with you or fight against you, and based on what you do, you may or may not be able to complete certain missions.

You only have so many resources, and you need to keep your army safe. Weapons of war take damage through a modular component damage system. The structure of the ship, the armor your troops wear, and the failure of components all affect how long they live.
