Taste again the run ‘n gun styled game experience in this tribute to the old school arcade style of the 80s. Yes its a lot like Ikari Warriors, but thankfully this game plays a hell of a lot better. Here, your character has some actual manueverability unlike the og Ikari Warriors games. Plus, it breaks it up a bit by adding side scrolling sections and even a small shoot em up section. The graphics are nice and colorful and the soundtrack was good too. Anyone who grew up playing the SNK game IKARI WARRIORS should love this one. Top/Down Run & Gun Shooter (RGS) at it’s indie finest. I can’t recommend this game enough. I like what they did with this game. My only complaint is that I can’t use my XBOX controller I had to use a SEGA Genesis type pad. I’d like a sequel but dunno if that’ll happen. I think of this game as an Ikari Warriors homage – very similar level layouts, controls/design as well as theme. Oldschool top-down shooter that has some nice variety in levels and boss fights.
