Upaon: A Snake’s Journey is a casual puzzle game that mix the classic game Snake with Sokoban mechanics. Every fruit collected increases the snake’s size, so think carefully before eating averything in your way and… Please don’t bite yourself. A short and sweet puzzle game that uses simple mechanics but manages to offer a lot of nice challenges. You play as a snake who must consume all the fruit in each level, but you must plan your moves carefully as some movement restrictions are in place. Overall, the game is a nice time-killer for puzzle fans, but isn’t anything truly special. The puzzle design is good, but can be quite repetitive. TRIGGER WITCH

Upaon: A Snake’s Steam Pre-Installed:

There are 100 levels spread across five worlds, with each world introducing a new gimmick. The gimmicks per world are pretty cool with the exception of the last world which has a peculiar twist that does not really have any value to the puzzle and instead just ends up as a minor inconvenience. While it should take a while for you to complete all 100 levels, the lack of distinct and memorable brain-teasers feels like a lot of those levels are just rehashes of previous ones. I feel like the point could have been made with a lot less levels, to be honest.
