Crying Pony is a 2D side-scrolling horror adventure game where the protagonist, Michael, is awakened from a nightmare by his daughter, only to be repeatedly pulled back into the cycle of the nightmare and pursued by the evil lurking within. As the nightmare begins to invade and cross the boundaries between reality and dreams, the monsters within gradually get closer to reality, and even his daughter gets caught up in it. Will Michael be able to successfully escape the nightmare with his daughter? I felt the game recycled some of its ideas a bit too much. It reminds me of a certain game, but I don’t want to make a comparison because of the plot similarities, although I don’t think the story is all that unique. GUN JAM

Crying Pony Free Steam Pre-Installed:

I figured it was more of a chill walking game, but it actually takes some ideas from the RE1 remake with the knife counter and a few basic weapons. That said, you can dodge most of the enemies, and the game has a checkpoint every 2 minutes or so. There were a few parts that were slightly difficult, the game has a bit of a problem with stun locking (probably intentional), so getting grabbed next to 2 enemies is a bite rollercoaster. there is not a lot to say about the narrative here if I am being completely honest, you have 3 characters and the game only covers a few locations (one house and a subway inside a nightmare), and as you might guess there is something that happened to the family in the past.
