I haven’t gotten very far – only 3 hours – but I have to leave this game a review, because it doesn’t appear to be getting all the attention it deserves in the West, given I see zero English reviews. For starters, the translation is quite well done. At this price point I was expecting a very short visual novel, but the game has a branching system, and I haven’t reached a single one of multiple endings over the 3 hours I’ve played, and the vast majority of the branching options have not been explored, and I’ve gotten no achievements. The game is clearly substantial in its scope. The mystery of the game intrigues me, and I’m excited to learn more about what is going on. Mandemon is an easy recommendation to fans of supernatural mystery/horror VNs. Also, once I finish with Mandemon, I want to move on to the authors other VNs. The story has horror elements, violence and disturbing mention of an event may not be comfortable for everyone but doesn’t go extreme with such theme that makes one very uncomfortable, but a good Visual Novel for fans of supernatural, mystery.
